LTB 316/23 - Business Recovery Transformation & Growth (BRT&G) Agreement – Royal Mail Fleet
No. 316/23
1st December 2023 T0 ALL MEMBERS IN ROYAL MAIL FLEET Dear Colleagues
Business Recovery Transformation & Growth (BRT&G) Agreement – Royal Mail Fleet
You will have seen the Manager’s Update from Rob Fowler, Fleet Director, on the discussion with the CWU and Royal Mail Fleet’s proposed pay offer. The content of their offer outlines a choice between two options which is deliberately short on detail and more importantly remains unagreed.
To publish their offer in such a way, instead of wanting negotiations, highlights the desperate measures adopted by Fleet to avoid constructive discussion around a means of recognition and reward for all members.
The offer fails to outline exactly what this would mean to you, choosing instead to remain vague as to any increase in pay as well as a clear reduction in your current terms and conditions.
Despite the previous joint statement issued on 9th November 2023, this rather bizarre approach indicates a breakdown in negotiations by Fleet who clearly appear unable to hold constructive negotiations with supportive arguments.
To be clear, we remain committed to reaching a negotiated settlement, as we have throughout the dispute and are prepared to meet with Fleet at short notice. A further communication will be issued after full consideration of next steps with the Postal Executive has taken place early next week.
