Network update for Royal Mail Members Scotland
NETWORK UPDATE FOR ROYAL MAIL MEMBERS SCOTLAND
Further discussions on Scotland Network changes are continuing.
We are discussing a Joint communication which we hope to finalise early next week which will give further clarity over what can be done to mitigate the network changes in Scotland.
We aim to give a detailed update to the Scottish Division, Branches and members early next week.
It will also be our intention to come to Scotland week commencing 27th May to adresss the Scottish Divisional committee on any progress and next steps.
We fully realise that this is a massive issue for our members and please be assured that both the National union and your own Division and Branches are doing everything we can to try and reduce the impact on start and finish times for members.
NETWORK IN THE REST OF THE UK.
Over 87% of Delivery Units are under 60 minutes with over 40% under 30 minutes.
We have continued to work with Royal Mail to mitigate start and finish times where units are over 60 minutes.
Last week a number of Delivery units in the Southampton MC catchment area including SO/PO offices which were able to reduce their start and finish times due to some joint work.
Further reviews in other areas are ongoing.
The CWU have also agreed a Post Implementation Review to see if further changes can be made once the Network change has been implemented.
To assist in this process we have also agreed that the 11 week seasonal variations windows from 17th June will mean that for a full time employee the will start time will be 9 minutes later but the finish time will now be 15 minutes earlier.
